What the GOLOZA projection clock does

The clock shows the time twice. The curved screen carries LED digits 3.4 by 1.7 inches. The projector on the right throws the same time onto a wall or the ceiling.

The arm swivels through 180°, and a long press flips the image, so the numbers read the right way up from the bed. The product description gives a range of 1.64 to 11.4 feet.

Screen and projection dim apart: three levels and off for each. The alarm is a buzzer that gets louder and faster, up to 75 dB, with a 9-minute snooze on the big top button.

Who the projection clock suits

A good fit if

  • You wake at night and want the time without moving.
  • You want to dim or switch off the screen and keep the projection.
  • You charge a phone by the bed and are short of outlets.

Look elsewhere if

  • You need an alarm that sounds in a power cut. On battery it stays silent.
  • You want two alarms. This clock has one.
  • Any light on the ceiling bothers you. A buyer found the lowest level still too bright.

Buyer reviews

Simple, not fancy, little clock. Perfect for a guest room.

Simple, not fancy, little clock. Super easy set-up and you can adjust the brightness of the projection which is great. It fits easily on a small nightstand and with the projection, it doesn't have to be out in front taking up space. It has a bright face so you can see the time on it if your room is too light to see the projected time. We have another projection clock and you can't see the time during the day at all. At this point, I consider it a really good value for the price.

Great product!

I’ve been looking and looking for a clock that projects on the ceiling for awhile and all I could find was red and blue color numbers. I’m not a fan of red, and the last one I had was blue and was a little too bright. This projection clock can be dimmed or brightened to your desire and it’s very easy to read. It was a great deal and still works well! I’m not sure what the alarm sounds like yet, I use my phone, but every other function on this clock is great, I’m sure it is too.

Projection is far too bright, even on dimmest setting.

Pros: Looks great. Sharp display (both on the clock face and the projection). Easy to set-up, navigate, etc. Con: Unfortunately, the only con is the primary reason I bought this (and am now returning it). The projection is way too bright if you like a decently dark room when sleeping. I don't need pitch black, but I need it reasonably dark. Upon set up, I thought.. ok, I must have it on the highest/brightest setting. Let me adjust it down. That's when I figured out it was already on it's dimmest setting. Just too bright. For fun, I opened a book that I had on my nightstand and could read it due to how bright the projection was. Too bad.. otherwise I like everything about it.. just way too bright. To be clear, there was no other ambient light in the room (no night light, blinds closed an curtains drawn).

If you want a dark room

I like a dark room at night and this clock allows you to turn off the display completely of course the trade off is you can no longer read the time on the display it’s completely black. It also has a low, medium, and high display and projector mode that are adjustable and they work independently of each other. The low display setting will work fine for most people but it was too bright for me. My previous clock allowed you to have the display on but with no back light. If this clock could do that I would have given it 5 stars. However this is a great basic clock. It doesn’t have a DST feature or show the temperature or humidity but I don’t really need those functions. I wanted a clock that could project the time on my ceiling and this clock does that well. It projects nice big numbers and I like the ability to have the projection on low, medium, high,or completely off. Again I like a dark room although I didn’t like the low display setting the low projection setting is perfect. The projection mode is very good it’s very adjustable and if you long press the projection button for 3 seconds you can rotate the nubmbers so they are always right side up. Another big plus is if you read the instructions it is very easy to set up. I’m technology challenged and it was easy. If you don’t mind a little light it has a nice big easy to read display that will probably be fine for most people. It is a light weight clock but it looks nice I like the curved design. It does have an alarm with a progressive alarm volume and a snooze button that also sets up the display brightness. It has a USB charge port which is convenient but the directions say it charges slowly which can actually be a pulse for battery health. It has a back up button battery that uses an easy to find 2032 button battery. The battery doesn’t work the display it just saves your settings. The description says wood grain but it is actually a gloss black that I like better. So if you are looking for an easy to set basic clock this will be a good projection clock for you.
